Original Abstract
De Tweede Kamer, onder leiding van G.P. Kortenhorst, aanvaardt het ontwerp van de Deltawet.
Minister J. Algera houdt een toespraak, en na de aanvaarding wordt hij door onder andere A.F.C. de Casembroot, commissaris der koningin van Zeeland, en zijn dochter gefeliciteerd. Verder Algera met ir. A.G. Maris, directeur-generaal van Rijkswaterstaat, en prof. P.P. Jansen, hoofd van de Deltadienst. Bij Krimpen aan de IJssel zijn de werkzaamheden aan een watervloedkering al in uitvoering en bij Hellevoetsluis wordt een dijk aangelegd. Met archiefmateriaal van de Watersnoodramp 1953.

English abstract
The "Tweede Kamer" (Dutch Lower House) accepts the proposal for the new "Deltawet" (Delta law).
This law consists of several major precaution measures to protect the Netherlands against flooding. After the law is passed, Dutch minister J. Algera givesa speech and he receives congratulations from A.F.C. de Casembroot, Dutch Royal Commissioner for the Queen in the Dutch province of Zeeland and from his daughter. Near the Dutch city of Krimpen aan de IJssel, building activities for a inundation dam are already taking place and a dike is being build near the Dutch city of Hellevoetsluis. Also with archive material of the floodings in the Netherlands in 1953.
